Lost and Found

While updating my CV i found some illustrations of previous works (during fashion design course).

Found them interesting to share on this blog. 

These are some of the few illustrations i made for Levi's exercise. As you can tell, baseball was my main influence.

Enquanto actualizava o meu CV encontrei algumas ilustrações de trabalhos antigos do CITEX. Estas são algumas das ilustrações que fiz para o trabalho da Levis. Como se nota, o baseball foi o meu ponto de partida (e chegada) nesta colecção de jeanswear.

Well... Do you know those moments, when you are dancing and making your own choreography in front of the mirror, listening to your favorite song, and you never think that someone is watching you? And then... Bang! You're caught? That's what happend to me this morning...

Sabem aqueles momentos privados, em que, por acaso, se faz todo o tipo de coreografia em frente ao espelho, com a nossa música preferida nos fones, e sem a mínima preocupação de saber se estão a ser observados ou não...? Tive um desses momentos esta manhã. Durante a minha "ginástica" lembrei-me de exercitar com sapatos altos... porque não? e PIMBA, sou apanha completamente desprevenida. 

Eggs Benedict

As promised, here i present you the illustrated recipe of eggs Benedict. 

It's quite simple! The real difficulty (and for some, secret) is in the Hollandaise sauce. I'll be posting this recipe, as well, soon! Stay tuned!

Como prometido, aqui vai a receita ilustrada (muito simples) dos famosos ovos Benedict. 

É tão simples que aqui de receita (quase) não tem nada. O segredo está no molho Holandês. Pois bem, esse também será ilustrado! Aguardem! 

Para quem quiser os 4 passos traduzidos:

1) Torrar a fatia de pão;

2) Fritar uma fatia de bacon, durante 1 minuto, de cada lado;

3) Numa panela com água a ferver (suficiente para cobrir o ovo) e uma colher de sopa de vinagre branco, verter o ovo (sem casca), e deixar cozinhar 2 minutos. retirar com cuidado, deixando escorrer bem toda a água;

4) Servir com molho Holandês.

Manobeina, is the responsible for this drawing. 

I received her comment on my Girl with Curves illustration, and became interested on this kind of approach. 
I explored her blog and found her face super interesting, although the first thing i wanted to draw were her legs - deliciously curvy! 

I find it interesting, considering the comments and messages relating to my illustrations, asking/wishing for portraits when i don't have a clue what i'm going to illustrate/sketch next.  I find it the best way to practice on real people. Thank you Chidimma Aniebonam for the suggestion! 

As someone said... "careful what you wish for"!
