Lately in recipes...

In the last couple of months my husband has been trying to get his own* recipe of a typical Portuguese pastry called Pastel de Nata (also known as Pastel de Belém). The last attempt was the best he made so far (this is his 5th or 6th time) so I took his notes from the fridge and decided to (somehow) perpetuate in a better way this new, better and less sweeter, recipe.

* with much less sugar than the usual recipes.
Note: I just illustrated the ingredients needed. The recipe needs a detailed step by step illustration...

Now that strawberries are all over the place here in Istanbul, and since I'm not a very fruity person... I decided to increase my intake of much needed vitamins via juices and smoothies (I know the best way is to chew every single peace, but...)
This one is a very pleasant one! Bananas and strawberries are really a great combo!

*Afiyet Olsun! :)

*enjoy in Turkish
*bom apetite em Turco
